Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, hit the silver screens on Eid, June 5. Ever since its release, the film has been unstoppable at the box-office and managed to minted around Rs 180 crore in its first extended week itself, which was of nine days. In its second week, Bharat has raked in Rs 21.81 crore, taking the total domestic business to over Rs 200 crore.
Declaring the film a HIT, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, "#Bharat biz at a glance... Week 1: 180.05 cr [extended Week 1 of 9 days] Week 2: 21.81 cr [till Tue] Total: 201.86 cr India biz." Incidentally, Bharat had a low second week, which is a big drop in business from the first week. The total business has been good mainly because of Eid and initially, the film took and on top an extended first weekend.

While Bharat faced no competition at the box office last week, it is a different scenario this week with a big release Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. The early estimates of the film look good and Kabir Singh is expected to have double-digit opening. Now if it hampers the momentum of Bharat or not, is still left to be seen,
