According to a trade portal, "The first week is heading for Rs 130 crore nett plus total. There have been noticeable drops on the Wednesday for major releases this year, be it a Total Dhamaal, Gully Boy or Bharat, and lets see how this one fares on Wednesday as the appreciation here is far more." Interestingly, Kabir Singh has already crossed the first week business of all releases this year, except Salman Khan's Bharat, in just five days.
Kabir Singh is a remake of the popular Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy that originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, the film opened on June 21. The remake is a T-Series and Cine1 Studios presentation.
