Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, which released on June 21, has been raking in moolah at the box-office despite getting mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. The film, a remake of the popular Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy that originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey, minted Rs 20.21 crore on day one and registered business of over Rs 70 crore in its opening weekend at the box office. The film went on to join the coveted Rs 100 crore club in mere five days of its release and now by the end of its first week, the film is eyeing the Rs 150 crore mark by collecting Rs 13.61 crore on Thursday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the numbers and declared that the film will easily cross Rs 200 crore by its second week:

As per a report in a trade portal, "Kabir Singh has witnessed the third highest non-holiday first week of all time after Bahubali - The Conclusion and Sanju. It is second to Bharat for 2019 which grossed Rs 168 crore nett in first week but had the Eid period in its first week." Kabir Singh's first noticeable fall came on Thursday when it fell by around 15% due to India's World Cup match against West Indies. "Kabir Singh is a BLOCKBUSTER film and the second Friday business will tell if it emerges the biggest HIT of the year," the report added.
