While content proving to be a king all across, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 is witnessing a great run at the box office. The film has charted a stronghold despite monsoons trying to take a toll and completed a great collection on the first 10 days, collecting a total of Rs 40.86 crores. After collecting a fair amount of Rs 3.67 crore on Tuesday in week, it minted a whopping Rs 4 crore on Saturday. The film has struck the right chord with its gritty and hard-hitting content as it emphasizes on the atrocities in the society. The Anubhav Sinha directorial is regarded as the most important film of the year for its relevant content.
Article 15 features Ayushmann in a never-seen-before cop avatar with a heroic element to the character. With a no-nonsense appearance, the character has already become a hit among the audience with a realistic portrayal. The film has stellar support cast of Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. Article 15, released on June 28, and the film definitely has gripped the nation with its catchphrase, ‘Ab farq laayenge’.
Meanwhile, Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, is holding it's fort strongly at the box office and it's unshakable inspite of big matches. On Saturday, the film collection Rs 7.51 crore, taking the total collections to Rs 226.11 crore.
