Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the lead is the first spinoff of the Fast & Furious franchise. The film, like its parent film, is ruling the Indian box office and has earned a cool Rs 42.90 crore in its opening week steamrolling all the recent Hindi releases in its wake. Released on August 2, the film raked in Rs 13.15 crore on its opening day, Rs 13.25 on Day 2 and Rs 16 crore on Day 3, i.e. Sunday. The film is minting money at the box office and is all set to cross the Rs 50 crore mark soon.
With the great run that the film is witnessing in the country, India has emerged as the Top 5 markets worldwide for Hobbs & Shaw followed by US, Russia, UK and Indonesia. The film has become the second biggest Hollywood opener of 2019 in India after Avengers: Endgame which earned Rs 53.10 crore.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages in a whopping 2,100 screens across India. Johnson reprises his role of Luke Hobbs who works for the US Diplomatic Security Service while Statham plays Deckard Shaw, a former UK Special Forces assassin-turned-mercenary. The film also stars Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby and Helen Mirren. The film is directed by David Leitch.
