Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal is unstoppable at the box office. The film based on India’s first interplanetary mission-Mars Orbiter Mission has not only struck gold at the box office but also inspired many children to become space scientists and researchers. The film has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark within 11 days of its release and is now eyeing the Rs 200 crore club.
The film has turned out to be Akshay ‘s biggest opener so far and also the second-fastest film to cross the Rs 150 crore mark after Shakar’s 2.0 that also starred Rajinikanth. Besides, Akshay, Mission Mangal stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi. The film is directed by Jagan Shakti. The film has fetched a cool Rs 168.48 crore till now.

On the other hand, the other release of Independence Day, John Abraham’s Batla House is also doing very well at the box office. The film is keeping the cash registers ringing and has earned Rs 86.04 crore till date. The film will soon enter the Rs 100 crore club.

Batla House also features Mrunal Thakur in the lead and is directed by Nikkhil Advani. Based on the true Batla House encounter the film is getting much love at the box office. With only two days left for Prabhas’ and Shradhha Kapoor’s film Saaho to hit theatres, Mission Mangal and Batla House are making the most of their time at the box office.
