Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor starrer War is not looking to slow down any time soon at the box office. The film is enjoying a tremendous run at the theatres and is not bowed down by this week’s new releases. War has already garnered Rs 277.95 crore for its Hindi segment. Taking into account the moolah fetched by Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, War has minted Rs 291.05 crore at the box office and will soon cross the Rs 300 crore mark.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, War is produced by Yash Raj Films and has action sequences shot on a lavish scale. The film is a visual spectacle and has appealed to the masses. It is also inching towards crossing the Rs 100 crore mark at the international arena.

On the other hand, this week’s new release Laal Kaptaan, starring Saif Ali Khan as a Naga sadhu, failed to attract audiences on its first day of release. According to a trade website, the film has made around Rs 50 lakh and has made a poor start.
Directed by Navdeep Singh, Laal Kaptaan is a revenge thriller and tells the story of a Naga sadhu who is a bounty hunter. The film also stars Zoya Hussain, Deepak Dobriyal and Manav Vij. Sonakshi Sinha has a cameo appearance in the film.
The week’s other release Maleficent: Mistress of Evil starring Angelina Jolie as the titular character also failed to impress the audience and fetched only Rs 70 lakh on Day 1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has lent her voice for Angelina’s character in the Hindi version of the film. The film also stars Michelle Pfeiffer in a pivotal role.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar starrer The Sky Is Pink has witnessed a dull first-week collection. The film had opened to a poor start but saw some acceleration on Saturday but failed to keep up the momentum. As per a trade website, the film has raked in a total of Rs 1.25 crore on its seventh day bringing its first week total at the box office to Rs 15.40 crore.
The Sky Is Pink also stars Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. It is directed by Shonali Bose.
