Akshay Kumar has once again become the king of the box office. His latest release Good Newwz also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh is going great guns at the theatres. The film has received good reviews from the critics as well as good word-of-mouth publicity has helped its cause.
On Day 5, the film has garnered Rs 94.60 crore at the box office. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Good Newwz is about two couples trying to get pregnant through IVF. However, medical goof-up changes their lives.

On the other hand, Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 saw a slump at the box office. Its numbers have gone down in week 2. Directed by Prabhudheva it is the third film in the Dabangg franchise. It also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Arbaaz Khan. Dabangg 3 has fetched s 137.80 crore at the box office till now.

Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 2 has managed to keep its momentum going at the box office despite facing stiff competition from Dabangg 3 and Good Newwz. It has collected Rs 42.90 crore at the theatres.
