'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' crosses Rs 200 crore mark; 'Panga' records low numbers and 'Street Dancer 3D'opens well at the box office!

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior creates history at box office and crosses 200 crores mark. The film has earned Rs 5.38 crore on the third Friday with a sum total of Rs 202.83 crores. The film has garnered immense love and support from the audiences earning an impressive box office numbers. It is expected to have a steady week three as well. Directed by Om Raut, the period drama stars Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol.

Panga, which features Kangana Ranaut, Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha and Jassie Gill, hit screens on January 24. It evolves around a kabaddi player, played by Kangana, who wants to make a comeback in the game after marriage and motherhood. On its first day, the film minted Rs 2.7 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures. “#Panga records a low total on Day 1... Gathered momentum towards evening shows at select multiplexes, but occupancy at multiplexes of Tier-2 and 3 cities remained dull... Strong word of mouth should ensure growth on Day 2 and 3... Fri 2.70 cr. #India biz,” he wrote.

Directed by Remo D’souza, Street Dancer 3D features Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor as passionate dancers. The film opened to big numbers on the first day of its release and garnered Rs 10.26 crore.
