Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil's much-awaited pan-India film Pushpa: The Rise has taken the box office by storm. The Sukumar directorial released in theatres globally on December 17. Despite tough competition from Tom Holland and Zendaya's Spider-Man No Way Home, Pushpa: The Rise got a massive opening.
Pushpa: The Rise is attracting the crowd for its star value and interesting plot. Now, in just two days, the film has crossed the Rs 100 crores mark across the globe. The development was shared by trade analyst Ramesh Bala. Pushpa: The Rise collected Rs 57.83 crores worldwide on the first day itself.

Pushpa: The Rise released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The Hindi version of the film collected Rs 3 crores on the day of its release. On the second day, it raked in Rs 4 crores. The total, as of now, is Rs 7 crores.

The film revolves around sandalwood smuggling in the forests of Seshachalam in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh in the late 1990s. In Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun plays Pushpa Raj, one of the many coolies in Seshachalam, who illegally smuggle red sandalwood. Rashmika is Srivalli, Pushpa's ladylove. IPS Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh) plays the antagonist.
