Rajkummar Rao-Sanya Malhotra's HIT: The First Case released on Friday along with Taapsee Pannu's Shabaash Mithu. While the former is an investigative thriller, the latter is a biopic based on the life of cricketer Mithali Raj. After completing two days at the box office, HIT: The First Case has taken the lead whereas Shabaash Mithu remained low.
According to reports, HIT: The First Case saw a huge jump of 70% on Saturday. Reportedly, the film did a business of Rs. 2.01 crores. The growth in its box office collection can be attributed to good word of mouth and positive reviews from the critics. On the other hand, Shabaash Mithu reportedly minted Rs 70 lacs on the second day.
HIT: The First Case is directed by Dr Sailesh Kolanu and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore. The film also stars Dalip Tahhil, Milind Gunaji and Shilpa Shukla.
Produced by Viacom18 Studios, Shabaash Mithu’s Creative Producer is Ajit Andhare, while the film is directed by Srijit Mukherji and written by Priya Aven.
