The cash counters are ringing once again as two of the biggest films of the year made their debut. Sudeep's pan-India film Vikrant Rona released on July 28 whereas Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria's Ek Villain Returns arrived on July 29.
Ek Villain Returns, a spiritual sequel to Ek Villain (2014), is among the top grossers of the year as of now. The film directed by Mohit Suri opened with a collection of Rs. 7.05 crores. It showed an upward growth on Saturday by minting Rs. 7.47 crores. On Sunday, Ek Villain Returns collected Rs. 9.02 crores.

On the other hand, Vikrant Rona, a pan-India multilingual film is racing towards the coveted Rs. 100 crores club. In its key region, Karnataka, the film earned almost Rs. 70 crores till now. The film in Hindi has raked in over Rs. 5 crores whereas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film has earned a combined sum of Rs. 6 crores. The worldwide collection of Vikrant Rona has come close to Rs. 95 crores.
