Mani Ratnam's cinematic spectacle, Ponniyin Selvan 2, has set cash counters ringing. Headlined by a stellar star cast including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj among others, the film released on April 28 in theatres globally.

Now, in just a couple of days, Ponniyin Selvan 2, based on Kalki's five-part historical fiction novel, has created history. The magnum opus is continuing to break records. According to Taran Adarsh, PS-2 has entered the coveted 200-crore club worldwide. The exact figure is yet to be made official.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. The music is composed by A R Rahman. PS-2 released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
