Vedaa is one of the big three films that opened in cinemas on August 15, 2024. The film starring John Abraham, Sharvari, and Abhishek Banerjee has made a powerful opening at the box office. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film delves deep into intense action tacking a critical subject of casteism. The makers have managed to keep the narrative gripping and though-provoking. Despite releasing alongside three big films of Bollywood, Vedaa made an impressive collection on the first day of opening in cinemas. 

The action thriller has recorded a collection of Rs 6.75 crore net box office collection. Released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, the film reportedly earned Rs 50 lakh each in Tamil and Telugu regions. The rest of the earnings are from the Hindi version making a total of Rs 6.75 crore NBOC. This also marks John Abraham’s return to big screens after the success of Pathaan where he played antagonist opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
