Stree 2 overtakes Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan to become No.1 Hindi film of all time

Stree 2 is creating history at the box office surpassing top grossing movies and breaking records. The horror comedy film starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Apashakti Khurrana is enjoying a phenomenal run. Despite competing with two movies at the ticket window the Amar Kaushik directorial has created milestones solely. It ruled the box office over 34 days and continues to mint money. The fifth installment of Maddock Films' supernatural universe, Stree 2 has now surpassed Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan’s Hindi version lifetime collection.

The sequel of 2018 hit Stree has been touching significant milestones ever since it released in theaters on August 14, 2024. Earlier it defeated Ranbir Kapoor's Animal to become highest grossing Hindi film and earned that feat by surpassing Jawan. On day 34 (5th Tuesday) of the successful theatrical run it collected Rs 2.65 crore making a total business of Rs 586 crore. With this, the horror comedy has overtaken the action thriller Jawan’s lifetime collection in the Hindi language of Rs 582.31 crore. 

Stree became the No. 1 Hindi film of all time defeating Jawan directed by Atlee and headlined by Jawan. It is now eying to become highest grossing film ever and inching close to entre Rs 600 crore club. Jawan’s lifetime India total box office collection is Rs 640 crore and that’s the next biggest milestone for Stree 2 break. As it moves closer to entering Rs 600 crore club and given the massive response it would be no difficult for the film to defeat this record as well.

Stree 2 is a cinematic experience delivering a perfect crossover of Maddock Film's supernatural universe. Directed by Amar Kaushik the film is a blend of horror, humour, and fun. It has captivated the audience and continues to rule millions hearts.
