We hate to be the one to bring such terrible news to you, but it’s just come from Dubai that the lovely actress Sridevi suffered a massive cardiac arrest in a hotel in the Emirates city and is no more. All attempts to confirm the dreadful news were met with shocked silence by the legendary actress’ immediately family and other Bollywood sources.
At the time, all we can tell you is that a number of Bollywood stars, including Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, attended the grand wedding of actor Mohit Marwah in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE a few days ago. Mohit tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Antara Motiwala at a resort near Dubai. Mohit is the elder son of Boney, Anil and Sanjay Kapoor’s sister Reena. His younger brother Akshay is a producer. Sonam, Rhea, Arjun, Anshula, Shanaya, Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor are Mohit’s cousins. Rhea, Arjun, Shanaya and Khushi Kapoor attended the mehendi and sangeet ceremonies. Sonam, along with dad Anil, reached later.

Sridevi, who was last seen at the big fat Bollywood wedding dressed in a lehenga with Banarasi dupatta, is reported to have suffered a massive cardiac arrest in the hotel where she was staying and was rushed to a nearby hospital after efforts to revive her there failed. But it was too late. The actress was said to be alone when the end came. Her elder daughter Janhvi skipped the wedding to return to Mumbai where she is busy shooting for her debut filmDhadak, a romantic drama by Dharma Productions co-starring Ishaan Khatter. And husband Boney, too, was in Mumbai at the time she suffered the cardiac arrest. The husband and daughters left for Dubai immediately on receiving the sad news.
The tragedy of Boney Kapoor’s family is that his son Arjun lost his mother Mona Kapoor (who separated from Boney when Arjun was 11) to cancer just three months before he made his debut in 2012 with Ishaqzaade. And now it appears as if destiny has picked Boney’s daughter Janhvi from second wife Sridevi for the same tragic fate. Sridevi was last seen on screen in her husband Boney Kapoor’s thriller Mom last year. Further details are awaited. And Bollywood is in shock.
