Kapil Sharma rose to fame literally overnight with his gags and similarly crashed down post his split with Sunil Grover and team.
After the ugly spat that took place between his team members and him during their Australia tour, this year left Kapil to fend for his own self after the majority of the teammates decided to quit The Kapil Sharma Show. In between, Kapil’s and his show's ex-creative director and GF Preeti Simoes had a not-so-amicable break-up and a subsequent professional fall-out. Preeti and her sister Neeti Simoes later launched a rival show, The Drama Company on the similar channel.
While talking about his apparent relationship with Preeti, Kapil stated to the tabloid,"I have never asked anybody to leave me, my team or my show. There are no hard feelings from my end. When Sunil left the show, I advised him to stay on, saying we are stronger together. But he wanted his own show and I understood that because even I have fought for my own show. When he came back, I welcomed him because I have always believed we must work with the best to learn more and work better. If anyone else wants to come back, I will be more than happy to welcome them back."
He further added,"Long before she (Preeti) joined me, I was doing Comedy Circus and Laughter Challenge. I worked really hard. It didn’t stop with her coming into my life or when she walked out. I would like to wish her all the best with her own show now.”
But has he faced any setbacks owing to these equations? “Personal equations have never been detrimental to my career, it’s my health that has affected me adversely. If you fall, it’s your fault and nobody else’s,” cleared the comedian-actor, before signing off.
Kapil and team have decided to go on a break for a few months and have put TKSS on hold. They will supposedly come back with a bang soon.
