Is Kapil Sharma's best friend Rajiv Dhingra behind his Failure?

Things are going from bad to worse for the comedian-actor Kapil Sharma. First, due to ill health, Kapil had to pull the plug from his favourite reality TV show, The Kapil Sharma Show. Industry insiders were hoping that his recently released film Firangi might help him step out of the depression (He has been in and out of rehab in last few months). But with his over-hyped film Firangi tanking at the box office (mercilessly), Kapil has sunk further into the dark. And, as per PeepingMoon.com sources, he is holding his friend and Firangi director Rajiv Dhingra responsible for his misery!

It so happened that Firangi failed to collect more than Rs 6 crores at the box- office. But the overall expenditure on the filmmaking went up to a whopping Rs 30 crore, all of which was Kapil's hard earned money. (Kapil is also the film's producer). The comedian expected that this film will definitely gross Rs 50 crores at the ticket window, but alas, it even failed to make Rs 10 crores! This entire monetary loss has led Kapil to severe depression, once again.

"Kapil has been cheated by his own friend Rajiv Dhingra. In reality, not more than Rs 18 crore was spent while making the film but Rajiv insisted Kapil invests more in the project. Moreover, CBFC had given the clearance certificate on November 22 to the film, as it was scheduled for a November 24 release. But it was Rajiv who convinced Kapil otherwise to push the release of the film on November 1. He insisted Kapil spends more money in terms of film's publicity and promotional campaigns. But all went down the drain. Kapil is now shattered due to this financial loss and is under severe depression," shared our source.

As Kapil being a popular TV star, it was but obvious that he will aggressively promote his film on various other shows on the small screen. However, Rajiv had asked Kapil to keep himself away from TV shows! The comedian-actor had also planned few promotional activity post the film release but now he has completely retreated in his shell.
