In a shocking turn of events, Shivaay played by Nakuul Mehta who was hypnotised by Veer kills Annika played by Surbhi Chandna. And now, Annika's identical twin sister will make her entry on the show.

According to reports, just when the cops are about to arrest Shivaay for killing Annika, her sister claims to be Annika. Although Shivaay is not convinced, he tells the police to arrest her.

By entering the life's of the Oberois, Annika's sister will be seen avenging her parent's death and destroying the Oberois. A source close to the show said, "Anika’s lookalike will be rustic and desi. While the family is on the hunt to find a missing Anika, they will be perplexed about the duplication of identities. Also, while Veer, Soumya and Svetlana planned to trap Shivay with Anika’s murder, they will be confused with this desi lookalike entering the house. The writers are still toning the twist but in most probability, this new lady will be introduced formally as Anika's twin sister who wants to destroy the Oberoi family as her family was destroyed in the Kalyani Mills fire."

On the other hand, Surbhi, who will also play the role of the evil sister in a recent inteview opened up about her character to a leading media house. She said, ""I feel Annika is the biggest example of Nayi Soch because I don't see a character like Annika on Indian Television; someone who stands up for herself and who is as blunt as her. When a girl can actually fight with someone as novel and as grand as Shivaay Singh Oberoi and can fight for her brother or her family, or anybody for that matter."
