Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim who first met on the sets of popular television show Sasural Simar Ka soon fell in love. After a happy relationship for almost over three years, they decided to tie the knot. The couple finally got married in a simple yet dreamy wedding in Bhopal and celebrated their reception last night. The couple seems to be on a high with their wedding.

The couple perfectly complimented each other's outfits. While the bride was seen donning an elegant white and golden lehenga with a dupatta draped around. Hubby Shoaib was wearing a red sherwani. Walking down the aisle the couple looked no less than royalty.

In fact, the bride has even changed her name (to comply with Islamic rules). Faiza Ibrahim, a.k.a Dipika Kakar, was not hesitant to change her name to suit the Islamic norms just to be with Shoaib. But turns out, many people and her fans did not share the same reaction to it. They criticized and frowned at the actress’ decision. When questioned about the reason for changing her name, she said, “The entire story behind my name change is very personal. My family members including my parents, my in-laws know about it. I don’t want other people to enter my personal space. So, please bear with me.”

She added later, “Main aapke liye Dipika thi aur hamesh dipika rahungi,” (I was and always will be your Dipika) and the actress signed off. For the uninitiated, this is not the first time she has changed her name. A minute change in her name took place a few years ago, from 'Deepika' to 'Dipika'. She was formerly 'Dipika Samson' after her first marriage with Raunak Samson. But decided to leave the name behind post her divorce.

For the wedding, the couple indulged in all the rituals from Mehendi and haldi to sangeet in the most traditional manner. Though, the entire saga was no less than a Bollywood dream come true. The bride had always wanted a dreamy fairytale wedding and she indeed made it come true. So much so, that they ditched the comfort of the flight journey to enjoy the romantic train journey, just like Raj and Simran’s in DDLJ.
