I had tears in my eyes when I first read Bepannaah: Jennifer Winget

Like the saying goes once bitten, twice shy - this intense drama revolves around Aditya and Zoya, who are brought together under mysterious circumstances, try to fall in love again. But 'Will they?' is the big question.

Speaking about playing the role of Zoya, Jennifer said, “The first time I heard the narration for the show, I had tears in my eyes; a show like Bepannaah comes your way rarely and I am ecstatic to be a part of it. My character Zoya is a sweet, polite young lady who has always led a very sheltered life and has always been dependent on the men in her life. How her life turns upside down in a flash is baffling, to say the least. I’m having a blast shooting with Harshad and Sehban. I’m sure viewers will love our chemistry.”

When asked about her off-screen chemistry with on-screen hubby, Sehban and Jennifer both chimed in:

Sehban: She hits me a lot. (laughs)
Jennifer: I'm not violent at all.
Sehban: Just kidding. We're very good friends. Jennifer, Karan (Wahi), and others, we're all like a family. We take care of each other and are there for each other. We're great friends, off the screen and on screen.

Jennifer who plays the role of a Muslim girl explained the extra mile she and other actors went to portray their characters. She said, "With all the actors we did a couple of workshops together to get the rapport right. And I'm so glad that every actor in the show came prepared and with the same energy that it transgressed on the screen as well."

When asked about how much Jennifer connects with her character in real life, this is what she had to say:

"Whatever characters I have played so far, I have learned something or the other from every character. When Jennifer walks on set, the character takes over and when Jennifer walks out of the set, I leave the character behind. I've been acting since I was a child so its easy for me switch on and off."

Jennifer also addressed the horrific fire accident that engulfed the sets of Bepannaah. She said, "It was a very unfortunate incident and beyond anyone's control. My sympathies are with the family. It was something I couldn't. I'm very grateful to the firefighters that they saved numerous lives."

With not that many intense love stories on TV, Beypannah surely is a step towards one. So high on emotions, according to the actress, it relates to all, both young and old.

Join them on a journey of love, hardship and mystery that will air on March 19 on Colors channel at 9 PM.
