The focus later shifted to the love story of Shivaay and Anika (Surbhi Chandna); with the story of Omkara and Rudra being shifted to the spinoff series ‘Dil Boley Oberoi’. In July 2017 ‘Dil Boley Oberoi’ ended and the storylines were merged back into ‘Ishqbaaz’, doubling its runtime. Now ‘Ishqbaaz’ is back to a half an hour slot.
Even though there have been rumours occasionally circulating about ‘Ishqbaaz’ going off air, the cast and crew of the show have denied it. What’s more, the show achieving this landmark proves its popularity and longevity.
The story, which centres on the three brothers who live in a joint family, along with their wives, continues to please audiences. It showcases familial ties and bonds that remain strong even in the face of attack. The show reaching a milestone of 500 episodes is proof of the love and support it has received from audiences over the years.
Surbhi Chandna, who plays the lead role of Anika in the show, is thrilled about the achievement of the show. She shared her joy on Instagram, expressing her gratitude on being part of the show which has a strong team of directors, cameramen and stylists.
Surbhi also thanked her fans for being a part of this journey, which gives her the opportunity to constantly explore herself as an actor.“Happy 500 to us #ishqbaaazhits500 The Love of you will get us to reach 1000 very, very soon and like I always say keep the love coming in,” she gushed.
Even Nakuul posted, "Happy, shining Cast & Crew of #Ishqbaaaz sending a massive shout out & love to all you awesome folks for this incredibly rewarding ride. ♥️ I believe we've just got started... #IshqbaaazHits500"
Incidentally, ‘Ishqbaaz’ is dubbed in Tamil, and has also been officially remade in Kannada. While there is also a Malayalam dubbed version, it has also been dubbed in Arabic.
