Karishma Tanna, who was revealed as the first 'Naagin' yesterday by the producer, received a lot of flak from Mouni Roy's fans (she headlined season 1 and 2). However, Mouni, who is now making her Bollywood debut with Gold, supported Tanna via a video message. The 'new naagin' took to her Instagram and posted, "A heartfelt thank you to Ekta for bestowing trust in me to step into the big shoes of Mouni for Naagin , she’s left a mark and her fans including me can’t think of replacing her . It’s a new season and I hope I can do the same justice that she did to the show . Thank you so much Mouni for the words of encouragement , estatic about starting this new journey with the mammoth brand , love always KT"

Anita will also be seen in ALTBalaji's web series Galti Se Mistech. When asked medium excites her more — television, films or web, she quoted to a leading daily, “As an actor, I don’t mind the medium as long as I have a good part to do. The web is very different from the other two. There’s hardly any makeup. In terms of acting, it’s very different from a daily soap. I didn’t think I would enjoy it so much. Web is a much more evolved medium."
