Producer Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural fantasy television series Chandrakanta is all set to go off-air. And yes; it will make a way for the producer’s popular series – Naagin 3, starring Surbhi Jyoti, Anita Hassnandani and Karishma Tanna. Joining them is TV heartthrob Pearl V Puri, as the new hero followed by Rakshanda Khan and Chetan Hansraj, who are part of the ensemble cast.
When we contacted Madhurima Tuli, the lead actress of the show, she confirmed the news and said, “Yes, the show is going off-air. We will be shooting for 2-3 days before winding it up.”
Talking about her experience while working in the show, the actress further added, “It was a great journey so far, I had a blast shooting with all the actors. The entire team was so co-operative and supportive. I am really going to miss all the moments I shared with the team members.”
The first episode of Chandrakanta was on aired on 24 June 2017. There was a lot of expectation from the show; however, it failed to entertain the audience. In spite of doing a lot of brainstorming in the creative aspect of the show; it failed to fetch good numbers on the TRP chart.

Apparently, the writers have already started working on the climax of the show. In fact, the makers have already shot the death of Queen Iravati (Urvashi Dholakia).
Chandrakanta is an Indian supernatural fantasy television series which premiered on Colors TV. Based on the novel of the same name written by Devaki Nandan Khatri, it tells the story of Princess Chandrakanta. The show is produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Ranjan Kumar Singh under the Balaji Telefilms banner. The series stars Madhurima Tulli, Urvashi Dholakia and Vishal Aditya Singh in the lead roles.
