Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor, Karan Patel had recently announced that he and his wife Ankita Bhargava shall soon embrace parenthood. However, Ankita, who was pregnant with her first child with Karan, suffered an unfortunate miscarriage earlier this month. She was in her second trimester, and their baby was due in November.

While a lot has been said and written about the development, Ankita's father Abhay Bhargava himself had confirmed the news of the miscarriage but said that Ankita is doing better. Urging privacy for the grieving couple, Karan's and Ankita's spokesperson has released a statement on their and the families' behalf.

"I would urge all media personnel to please allow Karan and Ankita Karan Patel enough time to deal with the miscarriage. It is a difficult time for them individually and for the families involved. This sudden turn of events happened a few days ago and ever since we have tried to keep it low key only so that we allow them enough time to cope with it," the statement read.

"However, given the nature of the lives they live we do understand there will be speculation and concern from many, while we are ever thankful to the love and concern shown I am sure we all agree that it is a tough time for them and coming to terms with it will take a few days!!" the statement further reads,"Please consider this as a formal acceptance of the misfortune that has occurred in their lives and thank you in advance for respecting their privacy."

Miscarriages are one of the worst experiences a couple can go through in their marital life and when you are a celebrity and under the scrutiny of the world the difficult time is much harder to overcome. Thus, we only wish a speedy recovery for Ankita and hope for her and Karan to recuperate well.

Ankita and Karan married each other in 2015. Karan is seen in popular TV show Ye Hai Mohabbatein opposite Divyanka Tripathi. Ankita is also an actress who has appeared in many TV serials such as Sanjivani, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan and others. She has also acted in films like Action Jackson and Akira.
