One of the popular actresses, Mona Singh will be soon seen playing a mother of three children once again. This time, she has been roped to play the lead in a web-series titled – Ye Meri Family opposite Akarsh Khurana who directed the film, High Jack.

The web series is set in the 90s and revolves around a typical Indian family where the couple (Mona and Akarsh) have three children and the entire concept revolves around their upbringing.

Talking about the series, Mona Singh said, “I can assure that this series will be a nostalgic journey for the audience as they will witness how the kids were brought up in 90’s era. Also, kids these days don't know how being in the terrace during a power cut felt like. 90’s era was so beautiful that every kid born in that era will relate to this show.”

The actress further added, “To be honest, I nodded to this series because I want to re-live the moments which I had spent in that era. When I shot for this; I realized that family is so important. This series is something which I used to watch during my childhood; unfortunately, these concepts are not made any more now.”

Few years back, Mona Singh played a mother of three children in a daily soap, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada. Once again, she will be seen as a mother but this time, it’s nothing close to her previous character.

Shedding more light on her character, Mona said, “I play a simple housewife, a mother of three children, who is a strict disciplinaire. She loves and cares a lot about her family but there is a bit of control-freak and has set rules for her children. I have played mother in TV as well in Kya Hua Tera Vaada, but it's nothing close to that. The mother back then will surely relate to my role.”

On personal front, 36-year-old Mona Singh has no plan to get hitched soon. “Marriage is not the last thing in this world; I will marry whenever I feel so,” the actress concluded.
