Did Pearl V Puri just compare Naagin 3 to Game of Thrones? Find out

Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural drama series, Naagin returned to the small screen in June this year. With Anita Hassanandani, Karishma Tanna and Surbhi Jyoti roped in to play the lead roles in its third season, actor Pearl V Puri was finalised for the male lead (Maahir) in the show.

Known for shows like Badtameez Dil, Meri Saasu Maa, and Naagarjuna Ek Yodha, the actor is elated to collaborate with the TV czarina and featuring in the much sought-after show. Talking about Naagin 3, which is based on shape shifting serpents, Pearl told a leading daily, "Ekta ma'am's understanding of content is unparalleled. It's a privilege to be part of her show."

Reiterating his own belief in the supernatural, he added, "I’ve not seen a naagin in real life. But, I have experienced paranormal activities as a child. When I was seven, I sensed ghosts around me. Everything exists, it’s all about what you believe in. I believe naagins exist. If one believes there is God, then there must be a devil too.”

While the show has topped the TRP charts, it has also faced flak for its unimaginative concept. But, Pearl does not agree with the critics and in fact, believes the show to be at par with shows like Game of Thrones. "Naagin is gripping and convincing in its storytelling. It can well be compared to international shows. It's on par with say, a Game Of Thrones." he said.

Well, we certainly like his conviction!

Naagin 3 also feature Rajat Tokas, Ankit Mohan, Rakshanda Khan and Chetan Hansraj. Not just does the show comprise of a tripple dose of the gorgeous Naagins, it also offers you a royal treat to the eyes leaving you swooning over its magnificent sets and look.
