After Juhi Parmar and Sachin Shroff were granted a divorce, another TV celeb couple has decided to part their ways. Here, we are talking about Avinash Sachdev and Shalmalee Desai, who got married on June 12, 2015.

When contacted Avinash, he confirmed the news of their divorce been granted. However, he refused to talk further about it. The divorce was mutual and compatibility issue has been cited as the main reason behind their separation. We hear that Shalmalee is now staying with her mother.

Last year (July 2017), reports of Avinash and Shalmalee separating started making rounds. They were said to be growing apart for multiple reasons. From questions about Avinash’s loyalty to his refusing the actress pursue her career to being a wife-beater, reports about their fights had become frequent. However, Avinash had denied such reports.

In an interview to us (dated July 18, 2017) Avinash had said, “Just because Shalmalee and I don’t attend parties together, people started questioning about our relationship. I am not denying the fact that our relationship is going through a rough phase, but we both are trying to solve it out. All of us face issues in our relationship; however just because we are celebrities, our issues become the talk of the town.”

He further added, “People accused me of being a wife beater but there is no truth to it. Forget about being violent with her, I have not even raised my voice in these two years of our marriage. We both are mature persons and whatever Shalmalee will decide, I will support her decision.”

On the work front, Avinash Sachdev is best known for his roles in shows like Chotti Bahu and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?... Ek Baar Phir; Shalmalee has been part of shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?... Ek Baar Phir, Ek Hasina Thi and Gulmohar Grand.
