Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagi Kay reboot is creating a lot of excitement among the audiences already ever since its teaser was launched. The remake of her decade-old iconic show will star Erica Fernandez in the role of Prerna while the male lead still remains a mystery. Moreover, Barun Sobti will be portraying the character of Mr. Bajaj in the new show.
While Shweta Tiwari and Ronit Roy congratulated Ekta for the upcoming show, Cezzane Khan, best remembered as Anurag Basu from Kasautii Zindagi Kay, says he is will not watch it. However, he is happy to hear that KZK is back with a remake.
In an interview with a leading channel, Cezzane on being asked whether he will watch the first episode said, "I would not be watching it, but surely my mother will. She will tell me what is good and bad in the revamped version".
When complimented that he could have easily returned as Anurag Basu again considering his good looks, he quipped, "I wish." Earlier too, when PeepingMoon.com asked him if he wished to return to the show if given an opportunity, he said, "Honestly, I don’t know. Nobody has spoken (to me) regarding the same. But, obviously this is the show which has made me. So, I am very happy that Kasauti Zindagi Kay is coming back with its season 2. I can’t say anything about being a part of it."
On being further prodded about the reason that has kept him away from TV, he said, "You will only see me back if something interesting comes my way. I am not someone who works for money and I will only take a project if I can enjoy my work."
Meanwhile, the show is all set to premiere on September 10, 2018, on Star Plus at 8 pm. Other actors including Hina Khan, Sumona Chakravarti, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Kanupriya Pandit and Pooja Banerjee have also been locked to play pivotal roles in the show.
