TV star Aashka Goradia Goble has got a lip job done and surprisingly unlike other celebrities, she admits to getting the procedure. The actress who has worked in popular soaps like Kkusum and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and was also an inmate in Bogg Boss 6 told a leading daily, “My husband (Brent Goble) made me realize that there is nothing to hide. Yes, people will shame you but there is nothing to be ashamed of. I wanted to do something to my face, and that’s my choice. And I know that opening up sometimes is the only way to shut people up.”
Apparently, Aashka always wanted fuller lips and resorted to lip liners and other cosmetics before she decided to go in for the procedure. Talking about her choices she said, “I’ve always loved make-up, human faces and all that we can do with it. With technology, I had the choice to do it even better and I went ahead with it. But the procedure was preceded by a lot of research."

She further added, “I wish I had a sob story to tell you but there is none. I just wanted fuller lips and decided to go for them. But being asked things like, ‘How much plastic went into your lips?’ at a press conference with 20 people around is not how I would like to address it. I want to reiterate here that I decided to do something to my face and that’s my choice. I am my own sculptor, my own painter! When a girl chooses to get something done on her face, why do we call her plastic?”
Taking a stand in contrast to her contemporaries who go under the knife or do these procedures but tries to hide them, Aashka said, “It’s because the media and society label them as ‘fake’. I believe that real or fake attributes come from within. The choice to look better doesn’t make you fake or plastic.” However, she maintains that she believes in the privacy and the fact that personal choices should be taken into accord and everyone has a different reason for keeping the procedures hush-hush.
Well, we must say the actress' stand is definitely worth applauding. After all, it takes guts to come out in the open and swim against the tide.
