Aamir Khan made his television debut in 2012 with Satyamev Jayate (SMJ). The talk show dealt with several issues that plague the Indian society, including female infanticide, child sexual abuse, rape and honour killings, among others. The first season of SMJ aired 15 episodes, while the second season, which premiered in 2014, was divided into two parts - five episodes in March and six episodes in October.
While the audience has been eagerly waiting for the next season, Aamir had been busy with his Paani Foundation and shooting for his next film, Thugs of Hindostan. But now it looks like Aamir will indeed be back on TV with the third season soon. As per a report in a leading daily, Satyamev Jayate will air in the first quarter of 2019.

The daily quoted a source saying, "Once Aamir finishes the promotions of his Diwali release, Thugs Of Hindostan, he will start focussing on the show. His team has begun the research, but the actor, who covers all aspects of a topic, wants everything to be perfect before it goes on air. This time, the superstar will deal with broader topics and those that affect GenNext like depression and unemployment, etc."
It is touted that SMJ, comprising around 10 episodes, will air post-Shah Rukh Khan's Ted Talks India. While SMJ will be relayed at 11 am every Sunday, talks are still on for a slot for SRK’s show. The insider further revealed that the change in timings from 7 pm to 11 am is being considered as the channel wants to build a slot for knowledge-driven and motivational series.
While there has been no official confirmation from Aamir yet, we cannot wait for the show to air.
