Kapil Sharma announces his TV comeback with a new season of 'The Kapil Sharma Show'

Amidst rumours of his return to television with a comedy show on Sony TV, Kapil Sharma finally confirmed the news of his much-awaited comeback on Saturday via Twitter. Moreover, he did not just assure that his break from TV has ended but also revealed that he will be back with a brand new season of his popular show, The Kapil Sharma Show.

The channel also issued an official statement that read as, "Yes, Kapil Sharma is coming home to Sony Entertainment Television with his highly successful weekend comedy show The Kapil Sharma show. We are delighted and looking forward to again collaborate with Kapil and his absolutely talented creative team and actors."

Apparently, Kapil's comeback will be around Diwali as the makers are currently looking at adding some new segments to the show's format. A recent report in a recent daily suggested that the makers will be soon making an official announcement about the cast of the show, which will once again air during weekends on Sony.

Well, we wonder if the show will feature a fresh cast or retain the previous one.

For the unversed, The Kapil Sharma Show went off-air last year after the infamous fight between Kapil and his former co-star Sunil Grover. Earlier this year, Kapil made his comeback with Family Time With Kapil but the show was wrapped up within the first three episodes after he reportedly failed to turn up for shoots. Post that, Kapil took a break from work and signed up for a detoxification program to focus on his health.
