I’m in love with my look, never felt this glamorous before: Hina Khan on playing Komolika

The hottest and striking vamp of the small screen, Komolika, is back with a bang. In the promo shared by Ekta Kapoor, Hina Khan has been revealed to play the style icon Komolika in Kasautii Zindagi Kay reboot version.

After playing a positive lead protagonist onscreen for eight years in serial, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Hina is playing a negative character for the first time which she doesn't consider risky. "I really don't think playing Komolika after Akshara is a risk. As I said, the word stereotype is out of my dictionary and I have proved that time and again. And I will prove it again," the actress said to a leading daily.

The character of Komolika created a storm a decade ago for her statement style and unmatchable glamour. That role was then essayed by Urvashi Dholakia. Hina is all set to entice the viewers as Komolika in a sizzling look in the KZK reboot version.

Commenting on Komolika’s look, Hina revealed, “Komolika is entirely Ekta ma’am’s vision and she had a clear understanding of how Komolika will look and be presented. With an eye for detail, she was fully involved in the making of Komolika. Right from the intrinsic details of her costume to the twirling of the hair at the sound of nika, Ekta ma’am made sure the new Komolika live up to the hype and the title of style icon. It was her idea for Komolika to have Kohl and smoky eyes coupled with a boho and urban touch.”

The actress further added, “There was a lot of research that went in to make Komolika look perfect. Komolika’s accessories from her earrings to her anklets are oxidized silver jewellery which I am sure will become her signature style statements. I am in love with my look as Komolika and have never felt this glamorous before. I am confident that Ekta maám will make sure that the new Komolika and her looks will stand out and be the trendsetters.”

Komolika is sure to charm her way into the viewer’s hearts with her glamour avatar.
