After Divyanka Tripathi, ‘Taarak Mehta’ fame Dilip Joshi to campaign for Assembly Elections 2018?

Actor Dilip Joshi, popularly known as Jethalal Gada from serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah might campaign for a BJP contestant in the Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2018. If reports are too believed, the 50-year old actor will be for a BJP candidate Lalit Ostwal, who is contesting from Bari Sadri Assembly seat in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan.

The polling for 200-seat Rajasthan Assembly will be held on December 7, 2018. Dilip Joshi is very popular amongst the people; all thanks to his stint in Taarak Mehta; we hear that the candidate has approached Dilip Joshi to campaign for him since the actor is capable of pulling a huge crowd for the election event.

The poll result will be declared on December 11, 2018.

Recently, Ye Hain Mohabbatein actor Divyanka Tripathi was in news for her association with the Assembly Elections. The actress was conferred upon the title of 'State Icon' for Madhya Pradesh. She will be seen promoting the Election campaign.

The actress recently recorded radio campaigns urging people to go and cast their votes. She was quoted saying, "With a little bit of nudging, they will go out there and vote. India is a young country and the youth has a power to change the future."

Talking about the show, it is one of the longest running shows on Indian television and is based on playwright Taarak Mehta’s column Duniya Ne Undha Chashma in Gujarati weekly magazine Chitralekha. It on-aired its first episode on July 28, 2008 and is running successfully for almost a decade now.
