Since past few weeks, Gul Khan’s Ishqbaaz is hitting the headlines as she announced about the generation leap. The viewers were disappointed when they came to know that Surbhi Chandna who played the lead role of Annika in the show will not be part of the show. They started trending #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaz on social media. But the makers and the channel are in no mood to change their decision.

Not only Surbhi, but other actors including Shrenu Parikh, Kunal Jaisingh, Leenesh Mattoo and Mansi Srivastava have also bid goodbye to the show. Only Nakuul Mehta will be retained where he will be seen playing his son, Shivaansh on the show.
The makers of the show have released the new promo of the show where Shivaay and Anika are seen discussing their son. In the promo, Shivaay tells Anika that his son will be exactly like him, a classy, rich businessman. While Anika tells him what if her son turns out to be like her. To which Shivaay says, "You mean chichora?".

The title of the promo has been given as Ishqbaaaz - Pyaar Ki Ek DHINCHAAK Kahani. This indicates that post generation leap, the story will be all about Shivaansh!
The new season will premiere from December 17, 2018, and audiences will get to see a new love story. Reportedly, newcomer Manjiri Pupala has been roped in alongside Nakuul Mehta.
