Comedian-actor Ali Asgar has been invited to Kapil Sharma’s wedding in Punjab but will not be able to make it owing to prior work commitments. However, Ali said that he will try to attend Kapil’s reception in Mumbai, which the comedian will host in honour of his friends and colleagues from the film industry. Kapil will marry longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in Punjab.
When Ali was asked whether he has been invited and will be attending Kapil’s wedding on December 12 in Punjab, he said, "We spoke on the phone and he invited me to Punjab where he is getting married but I will be in China for a show so I won’t be able to attend it. But I will try to attend his reception in Mumbai."

Ali has worked with Kapil often and the latter, in the meantime, will be launching his comedy chat show without him. Remember the unfortunate mid-air tiff between Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma? After the incident, the former had left the show. With Sunil, Ali Asgar too had walked out of the show.
But now, seems like all of them are ready to forget the past though. Recently, when Sunil was asked about Kapil's marriage, he said: "I am very happy; I wish him a very happy married life. We have done some really good work together, and now he is about to embrace a new journey. I pray he keeps laughing and entertains others too, he is very talented."

Meanwhile, both Sunil and Ali will be seen in their own comedy show, titled Kanpur Wale Khuranas. In the show, Ali will once again be playing the character of a woman.
