Cinema in India is witnessing this new wave of filmmaking. One that has seen a sudden paradigm shift from the opulent and luxury-ridden lives of the city dwellers to the mediocre and mellow ones of small towners. A lot of this change needs to be credited to the rawness and vulnerability brought by the actors starting in them - the likes of Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal.

These two firebrands are dragons breathing talent, with absolutely no help from a 'godfather.' To tell you the truth, the celebrities never had one. Only dreams, aspirations and in case of Ayushmann, a strategy too. Cut to last weekend. AK and VK are sipping cuppa joe with Karan Johar on his chat show; making winter visibly and figuratively hotter for us mere mortals. What do we say? We know you like it stronger too. The koffee? *Cough Cough*

Evident and notable enough, Vicky and Ayushmann were probably the first set of guests on Koffee With Karan who made us fall off our chair. Jaws glued to the floor. And eyes wide open. Because these drool-worthy stars turned out to be a case of relatability rather than dreamy, far-fetched, FOMO-giving stars. Did you know Ayushmann nearly got caught in the middle of a 'quality time' session with his then girlfriend now wife? So us, right?

Ayushmann has been a Vicky Donor FOR REAL 

Long before Shoojot Sircar introduced Khurrana as Vicky Donor, Ayushmann had donated his sperms for real. The actor who started off with the validation of Raghu-Rajeev, "Tu Roadie Banega," was one of the three guys whose sperms were selected for donation in a task. This was in 2004. His debut happened in 2012. It would be safe to say, it was all destined.

The new sex symbol of Bollywood broke our hearts much before the ovaries of zillions. Kaushal has bee rumoured to be dating television actress Harleen Sethi and while on the coveted couch, he blushingly admitted to being in a serious relationship.

Two very random but immensely interesting facts were brought to the forefront in last night's episode: Karan Johar was born as Rahul Johar. Ayushmann Khurrana was Nishant Khurrana till he joined school. His nickname still remains Nishu, however.

It is mention worthy that Karan still remains the Kumar in his name. His actual name is Karan Kumar Johar. KK Jo!

AK and VK are too good to be true, yeah? 

There is a delightful taste of reality in whatever these two bring to the table. As Ayushmann puts it, there were no happy accidents in his career. He always had a plan and a strategy as to how he wanted to go about films. Having said that both Ayushmann and Vicky were hesitant to admit they wanted to be a 'hero,' owing to their not-so-quintessential looks.

Khurrana, in fact, gave films a pass before he finally agreed to debut with Vicky Donor.

Ayushmann is the new discovery of 2018, thinks Karan Johar

We'd be lying if we said Karan didn't seem like he was trying to woo Ayushmann into working with him throughout the episode. He even mentioned that he first went to the Badhaai Ho star for Lust Stories. But we must admit we always knew he was a gem, Karan.

Ayushmann, very honestly also admitted that he didn't want to spoil his relations in the industry for that Goddamn hamper!

Not to forget that when prodded, Vicky stated he'd like to start a rumour that he is the new Dharma kid.

Sorry Mr.Kaushal, but we'd definitely love to watch Ayushmann Khurrana feature in a Karan Johar project. (Plus, you've Takht too.) Can't wait (for the collaboration). Won't miss!
