Television actor Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee Parekh commemorated seven years of their marriage on January 28 and are celebrating their wedding anniversary at a Lonavala resort. Ahead of his seventh wedding anniversary, Nakuul spoke about his relationship with Jankee and said that he looks up to his wife, a leading daily reports.
“We have spent half of our lives together already. Earlier, celebrations meant friends, family and parties, but now, with our hectic lives, we love hanging out together. The relationship we have today doesn’t feel any different from our courtship. The focus for us has been on independent evolution — both personally and career-wise. And since that happens rapidly, we look up to each other for the work we do, and the people we are today,” Nakuul told the daily.

Before getting married, Nakuul and Jankee dated for nine years and during his interview, said that he fell for her simplicity and innocence. Most importantly, Nakuul said that a lot more factors are required than just love in order to make a relationship survive, adding that partners should inspire each other.
“As you grow wiser and older, your love also evolves from having those momentary splurges or going on romantic dinners to having journeys together. Every year, one of us chooses the place for our annual vacation and is responsible for the bookings etc. I feel romance lies in ensuring that your partner’s interests are taken care of. After a decade, there has to be more than just love in a relationship. There should be companionship and you should inspire each other, which has happened for us,” Nakuul added.
