Good news: Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha will NOT quit 'Kumkum Bhagya' post its leap

Here comes some good news for all the fans of Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha. If reports are to be believed, the lead pair of serial Kumkum Bhagya will not quit the show post the leap.

Yes, you heard it right! The show is gearing up for a major generation leap wherein the makers have decided to take a twenty five year leap in the on-going storyline. However, Pragya (played by Sriti Jha) and Abhi (played by Shabbir Ahluwalia) will continue to be the central characters.

Rumours were rife thar Sriti and Shabbir were planning to quit the show due to a generation leap which will feature their grown up daughter Kiara and her story. But now, we hear that Pragya and Abhi will continue to entertain the viewers.

Apparently, the casting for the new characters has already begun. The new storyline will primarily focus on Pragya and Abhishek only. Their matured love story would take center stage. Well, now the fans of the show can rejoice and heave a sigh of relief.

Ekta Kapoor’s Kumkum Bhagya has been entertaining the audience for almost 5 years now. The show which premiered its first episode on April 15, 2014 has so far witnessed two leaps -- the first leap was introduced when the story was of two months old and later they introduced a seven years leap. After the second leap, the makers had introduced Pragya and Abhishek's daughter Kiara.
