Sangita Ghosh, who tied the knot with Jaipur-based entrepreneur Shailendra Singh Rathore in November 2010, believes in the sanctity of marriage, but not to the extent of allowing it to become toxic. Recently, while talking to a leading daily, the actress opened up about being a jealous wife, insecurity in her marriage and many more.
"Many things happened around the time when I got married. I couldn’t stay with my husband, as I had to take care of my father, who was unwell then. In fact, we still haven’t managed to stay together for more than two months at a stretch because of our work. But Shailendra has been extremely supportive and understanding. It’s been eight years and we are still trying to discover each other," she stated.

Furthermore, talking about her marriage, Sangita said, :We, too, have our share of misunderstandings and fights, and at times, even wonder if the marriage is intact. It was tougher for him, as I belong to a profession he doesn’t understand — he could have felt insecure seeing me enact romantic scenes. It’s the same with me; even today, if I see him talk to a woman for long, I feel jealous. You can say that while I am secure as an artiste, I am a jealous wife (smiles)."

Not to forget, Sangita believes that patience is needed to make any relationship sustain and added, "When a couple decides to separate, an outsider won’t understand the reason. I am of the opinion that it’s better to separate than kill each other. Yes, one must try his/her best to make it work, but there is no point dragging something on. Patience is what’s needed."
On the work front, Sangita will soon be seen as a pishachini on Divya Drishti, which will be aired on Star Plus.
