Krushna Abhishek, who plays a significant role in The Kapil Sharma Show, refused to divulge details on whether Archana Puran Singh has replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu on the comedy show, a leading daily reports. Asked whether Archana will appear on The Kapil Sharma Show in place of Sidhu, Krushna said that he cannot comment until he has a word with the channel. Sidhu has been reportedly ousted from the The Kapil Sharma Show after his controversial comment in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack.
Asked to comment on reports of Archana replacing Sidhu on the show, Krushna said at an event, as per the daily, “I don't know what's going on but currently the country's atmosphere is not right. Everyone is mourning. We have already shot a few episodes with Archana Puran Singh. But, Archana has told some media house that she hasn't yet signed the full contract. I would only be able to comment after having a word with the channel.”

Last week, Sony Entertainment Television, on which The Kapil Sharma Show airs, shared a post on social media welcoming Archana to the show, amidst reports that she has replaced Sidhu. While the post came just a day after news emerged that Sidhu won't be a part of the show anymore, Archana's entry into the show was done without clarity on whether she is indeed his replacement.
Archana, in the meantime, told a news agency that she hasn’t “replaced” Sidhu on the show and had shot for two episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show before the Pulwama terror attack.

"No, I haven't replaced him. I have not received any official information from Sony Entertainment Television or anyone to be a permanent part of the show. I shot two episodes for The Kapil Sharma Show before the Pulwama attack. He (Navjot Singh Sidhu) was busy somewhere due to which the channel approached me for shooting two episodes, and I did it,” Archana had told the news agency.
Navjot Singh Sidhu was reportedly sacked from The Kapil Sharma Show following his remarks that "nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists" and that the dialogue with Islamabad should continue. He was censured for his comments severely.
