Navjot Singh Sidhu has been banned from entering the Filmcity in Mumbai after a decision taken by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees on Thursday, a leading daily reports. The politician, who appeared as a special guest on The Kapil Sharma Show, used to shoot for the comedy series in a studio at Filmcity but will not be allowed to enter the premises any longer.
According to the report, the Federation, in a letter addressed to the managing director of Filmcity, stated that apart from Pakistani artistes, Sidhu, as well, shouldn’t be allowed to step into Filmcity or shoot in the studios.

The decision comes after Sidhu was reportedly asked to resign from The Kapil Sharma Show by producer Salman Khan following his remarks in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack that “nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists” and that the dialogue with Islamabad should continue. The politician was censured for his comments severely.
Thereafter, reports of Archana Puran Singh replacing Sidhu on the show gained momentum, especially after Sony Entertainment Television, on which The Kapil Sharma Show airs, shared a post on social media welcoming Archana to the show. Incidentally, Sony announced the news a day after reports suggested that Sidhu won’t be a part of the show anymore but Archana’s entry was done without clarity on whether she is indeed his replacement.
