Popular television serial Ishqbaaaz which began as a love story between Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) and Annika (Surbhi Chandna) is coming to a culmination in another two weeks which has made its fans extremely unhappy and disappointed. The show has been extremely successful and has broken several stereotypes along the way in how couples are portrayed on the small screen. The main leads were not idealistic and did not conform to the set rules of how a hero and heroine in a serial are usually depicted. Shivaay and Annika were extremely relatable as they had their own flaws and at the same time had crackling chemistry that spelt magic onscreen.

Last year, in December the show took a generation leap and the story shifted to Shivaay’s and Annika’s son Shivaansh (played by Nakuul) and Mannat (Niti Taylor). However, the channel decided to pull the plug on the series even before the generation leap angle took off. Nakuul today left all his fans teary-eyed when he shared an emotional and heartfelt post ahead of the show’s finale episode which will air on March 15.
