A 32-year-old man, who allegedly stalked producer Ekta Kapoor for over 30 times, has been arrested by the Amboli police in Mumbai, a leading daily reports. Police officers told the daily that Haryana-based Sudhir Rajendra Singh had been following Ekta over the past few months as he apparently wanted a job and was also interested in befriending her.
Sudhir Rajendra Singh, as per the report in the daily, works for a private cab service provider. "Few days back, when Ekta had gone to visit a temple in Juhu, Singh followed her there also and tried to approach her but was caught by her personal guards and he was warned to stay away from her,” a police officer was quoted as saying by the daily.

Police officers, meanwhile, also told the daily that the accused had enrolled himself in the gym that Ekta has been visiting. He apparently waits outside while Ekta works out in the gym and once, also tried to sneak inside but was hauled up by security. Sudhir Rajendra Singh was arrested on March 18 after a complaint was lodged against him.
"We have registered the complaint under section 354 (D) of the Indian Penal Code and with the help of CCTV and some technical evidences the accused was traced from Andheri west Veera Desai road. The case is under investigation," the officer said, adding that further investigation is on.
Ekta Kapoor has produced iconic television shows including Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
