Singer and dancer from Haryana Sapna Chaudhary was surrounded by rumours of joining the Congress party on Saturday (March 23). The former BB11 contestant was said to be the third Bigg Boss celebrity to join Congress after Shilpa Shinde and Arshi Khan. But soon after she clarified on Sunday that she will not campaign for any political party in the Lok Sabha election.
"I have not joined the Congress party. My pictures with Priyanka Gandhi are old, as I have met her many times in the past. These pictures are old. The biggest issue is that I have not joined any party," Sapna clarified.

When confronted by reporters about her pictures filling up forms of Congress membership, Choudhary said if her old interview can be aired, why cannot her pictures be passed off as new.
The rumours began when Raj Babbar shared a picture of her with Priyanka Gandhi on Twitter, welcoming her to Congress.

In 2016, Sapna was in news for attempting suicide. She was accused of insulting a particular caste through a song at a stage show after which she was being harassed online. Unable to deal with the stress, Sapna had decided to commit suicide but was saved on time. Sapna rose to popularity all across the country after her stint in Bigg Boss 11. Her transformation from a village belle to a modern town hottie has been applauded by all.
