Recently, Supreme Court lifted the life ban imposed on cricketer S Sreesanth by the BCCI for his alleged involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing controversy. Following that, Sreesanth met MP Shashi Tharoor, who is the member of Indian National Congress and speculations began to grow about the cricketer joining the Congress Party ahead of the General Lok Sabha Elections 2019. However, the cricketer has rubbished this news.
Clarifying the doubt, Sreesanth tweeted, “Great morning to one and all, please guys I've not joined congress..,I went to thanks @ShashiTharoor sir for always supporting me during my struggle. Iam @BJP4India karyakartha nd iam proud of it. For now iam going to completely concentrate on sports(few years left)?????????"
