Kasautii Zindagii Kay stands as producer Ekta Kapoor's most popular and successful TV franchise till date. Revolving around Anurag, Prerna and Komolika, Kasautii Zindagii Kay became a household show that was enjoyed by every member of the family. The second season of the popular series, though experienced a change in cast and a few additions to the story, remains to be watched in majority households. However along with the popularity one thing that both the shows have in common is a sequence on the song from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas titled Dola Re Dola that featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit Nene. Ekta, shared a montage of both the song sequence from the shows on her Instagram account, giving us a major throwback and nostalgic moment.
Informing her followers, she wrote that the song was used in both the shows thrice collectively. "Cause I love dola re dola it’s come thrice in kasauti thrice in kzk1 n kzk2," read Ekta's post caption. The video features both the Prernas that is Erica Fernandes and Shweta Tiwari along with 'Komolika' Hina Khan from season 2. Watch the video here.
For the unversed, the song was picturised on Erica and Komolika in the latest season during Anurag's younger sister Tapur's engagement ceremony.
Talking about the show, Shweta played the role of Prerna in the first season while Cezzane Khan was Anurag Basu. Urvashi Dholakia revolutionarised Komolika in the series that aired for the first time in 2001. In the second season, Erica reprised the role of Prerna and Parth Samthaan is cast as Anurag. Rumours are rife that an important character-Mr. Bajaj's role will be played by Karan Wahi. Ronit Roy was Mr.Bajaj in the prequel. However, no official confirmation from the makers or the actor has been made.
