Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai posted a story on Instagram, mocking Hina Khan's Cannes debut appearance and this did not go down well with several celebrities. After television stars, next in line was Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel, who slammed Jitesh aka Moushi Ji for his humiliating comment on Hina.
Pillai posted a story on Instagram, in which he shared a picture of Hina posing at Cannes 2019 red carpet, and captioned it, "Cannes has suddenly become chandivali studios kya?" This made Rangoli angry as she tweeted, "Look at him, an actor has gone to a film festival purely cos of her hardwork to present her film and here @jiteshpillaai Moushi ji humiliating her that too openly just cause she is an outsider, this is movie mafia and that's why Kangana has pledged to destroy them".

Jitesh posted an apology for Hina on her Instagram story later mentioning how his caption was grossly misconstructed. Have a look.
For the unversed, the Cannes Film Festival will premiere Hina’s Bollywood debut film Lines. The film is directed by Hussain Khan and produced by Rahat Kazmi, Tariq Khan, and Zeba Sajid along with Jayant Jaiswal. Lines is a tragic love story set in Kashmir during the times of Kargil war.
