Today on June 16, Father’s Day is being celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that fathers make to the lives of their children. On this occasion, several TV celebs talked about their father’s contribution to their lives and how they proved them to be their real-life superheros.
Here’s what they said:
Ssharad Malhotra
"He is my hero. He taught me to be humble always and live life one day at a time. He always inspired me to be focused and never take anything for granted. He is my real-life superhero. He is in Kolkata so I will miss him."
Gaurav Gera
"He has not given me an advice as such but from his character, I feel I have got that from him. As we don't believe in cheating people or shortcuts, patience is what I've learned from him. So, he never gave an advice as such but overall as a personality I have learned a lot from him. He is a wonderfully respected man. I have never seen him talking disrespectfully with my mom. Normally it happens that a Man tries to overpower a woman, I have never seen it in my life. So, I get it from him. I cannot treat a woman any lesser or try to overpower a woman, so I get that from him.
On Father’s Day yes, we will definitely go out to eat, my dad is into healthy eating and gluten-free so I'll give him food of his choice and we'll have a nice dinner."
Helly Shah
"There are a lot of things which I have learned from him and the things which I have learned will always be there with me. One is punctuality, I have always taken that effort of being punctual always. He has always advised me how to use money in the right way and not randomly waste it. He made me understand the importance of education and it's role in our lives.
It's not going to be a great kind of celebration because he stays in Ahmedabad so I would send him something."
Faisal Khan
"My father has been my biggest pillar of support in my life and is one person I have looked up to for everything. Coming from a middle-class family, I never felt deprived of anything as my father always fulfilled my needs and never let me feel otherwise. My dad has always has been a provider and the back-bone of our family. He has left no stone unturned to bring smiles on his kids’ faces and has always succeeded. I still remember the days when he used to drive a rickshaw to earn for our family and now, he does it for fun. It makes me so happy that my father is proud of me and it is because of his hard work and support that I have reached where I am today."
Shivin Narang
"My father always advised me that whatever you are doing in life don't be selfish ever and he told me that we should respect everyone. Always follow the path of honesty and should never do bad with others. These are basic things but are very important in one's life and if we follow them then we can go a long way. Father's day is very special so I will give a surprise to him as he is very fond of gadgets, speakers and things related to technology, I might gift him something related to that and I am sure he would like it."
Tinaa Dattaa
"One advice which he has always given me is that karma speaks and what is destined for you shall always be yours no matter what no one can take that away from you and you should not envy anyone."
Adaa Khan
"One thing which he has always adviced me is that we should not trust everyone blindly and since I am a spender, he always keeps telling me to save, but I believe to live for today."
Shashank Vyas
"The qualities which I took from my father is not to take the stress. He believes whatever is going on with you right now will pass away so you should not worry about anything. Be committed to working. Well, I don't follow formalities but the maximum we both might go for dinner."
Ashnoor Kaur
"More than a father, he is like a brother to me. We are best of friends and are really open to each other and that’s the reason, I am comfortable sharing everything with him. Out of all the beautiful moments that I have shared with my father, my favourite moment was hearing from him that the day I was born, he was so happy and elated that he hosted a huge celebration with close family and friends. Hearing this really made me feel special as at the time, when people used to be sad with the birth of a daughter in the house, my father break the norm and was the happiest father in the world! I feel that I am fortunate to have such an amazing father who has always supported me and has motivated me each day to be a better person. I look up to him and wish him all the happiness and great health, this Father’s Day."
