Ekta Kapoor’s iconic TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has completed 19 years since it originally aired on July 3, 2000. The show was a massive hit amongst the audience for eight constant years.
On this occasion, Ekta took to her Instagram handle to express her gratitude towards the fans and people associated with the show. Ekta Tweeted, "Many years ago ..on 3 July my life changed! Thanku @StarPlus @nairsameer Rajubhai Vipul bhai anil all actors esp my tulsi @smritiirani ...directors ..tech team and above all Thanku INDIA."

On the other hand, actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani, who played the role of Tulsi Virani in the show also tweeted the video and wrote, "This day that year @ektaravikapoor ."

The story of KSBKBT revolved around an ideal daughter-in-law Tulsi Virani, the daughter of a pandit married to the grandson, Mihir Virani (essayed by Amar Upadhyay and later by Ronit Roy) of a rich business tycoon Govardhan Virani. The role of the protagonist Tulsi Virani was played by Smriti Irani. The show was co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms.
The show made actors like Smriti, Amar, Ronit, Hiten Tejwani, Akashdeep Saigal, Mouni Roy, Rakshanda Khan, Gauri Pradhan, a household name.
